Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of The Hill Church. Based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God The Father
Tri-une - God in three Persons - coequal working in perfect harmony.
One true and loving God the Father, who is Everlasting infinite in power and wisdom. Creator of all things. Forever Just and Loving.

The Son
Jesus Christ-Came down from Heaven with the purpose of sacrifice. He lived a perfect life and then died in my/your place. But, He rose again three days later, and then ascended into Heaven. Where He sits at the right hand of The Father.
The Holy Spirit
Third person of the Godhead. He is what Jesus called in the Book of John, the Paraclete. The one who walks along side us to direct us into all truth. He empowers to walk and live for God.
The Heart of God is the Father.
The face of God is the Son.
The voice of God is Holy Spirit.
The hand of God is The church.

The Gifts Of The Spirit
We believe the Gifts of the Spirit are very much for today and are active in our daily lives. God Empowers us to go and do as He told the disciples in Acts 1. Jesus said, "let your Kingdom come" So with Holy Spirit we are called to do what Jesus did. Allow Heavens reality to be made manifest in ours.
Simply put, (Mathew 10, 28- Mark 16) We are called to go, full of Holy Spirit and heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leaper, cast out demons, Freely you have received, freely give. The gifts of the Spirit work in conjuncture with the fruit of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12 and 14 are about the manifestation of theses gifts, but nestled right in between is 13, which is the Love chapter. So Motivated by love, we are called to share Jesus with the world.

The Bible
Perfect and Authoritative word of God. It Cuts and Divides, it calms and soothes, It activates and Empowers us as Believers. God will speak to us as believers through His word. No other
book has been challenged in the world like The Bible, and no other book has sold more copies. We as believers need to read and Cherish His word!

Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.
Sin And Redemption
All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23
Because we sin or miss the mark, we needed an all sufficient sacrifice. Jesus came to take your place. From the beginning of time, something has to die so something else can live (sacrifice). The law instituted Sacrifice and Jesus became the once and for all Sacrifice.

Salvation
We are able to make our way back to God because of the Cross! He who believes in his heart and confesses with his mouth will be saved and have eternal life. When we confess, He is faithful and just to forgive us of all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 and He casts our sins as far as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:12 and remembers them no more. Isaiah 43:25
Water Baptism
Full immersion and a commandment of Our Lord. Mathew 28:19
It is symbolic of His Death, burial, and Resurrection. Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 Repent: Turn toward God Baptized in the name or character of Jesus. The Greek word here is "baptizo", which means to marinate. Take up His character. Receive The Holy Spirit: The Holy of Holies takes up residence inside our lives.

Tithe And Offering
The word tithe means tenth. you can't out give God. It comes from the Old Testament in Genesis 14, when Mechezidek the High Preist blessed Abram, and Abram gave him a tenth of all he had. Tithe goes to the Church Body, and Offering can go where a person is impressed by God to give.

Serving
James 2 says, You have faith, Ill show you my faith by my
works. By what I do. Fruit of the Spirit are all results of Faith. It takes the whole body to preach or share the full Gospel. We are all part of the body. If you are not active, we are functioning at less than 100%. It takes all of us!

Ressurection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
